Reports To: Connections and Administrative Pastor
Function: To lead all church-wide promotion, marketing, messaging, and communications under the direction of the Connections and Administrative Pastor.
Responsibilities:
A. Marketing & Communications:
1. Design, create and proof the church wide email and communications
2. Oversee First Temple’s social media presence
3. Manage communication subscription services (TextInChurch, ChurchApp, MailChimp)
4. Promote events through digital slides
5. Train volunteers for church production needs
6. Be the point person for local media and submit press releases
7. Oversee all marketing efforts
8. Develop and manage the Communications budget
B. Graphic Design:
1. Update and manage the First Temple website and app
2. Work with the Teaching team to develop sermon art work
3. Work alongside the Teaching team to develop sermon bumper videos and announcement videos
4. Oversee all screen visuals
5. Design needed logos, shirts, signage, brochures, and cards
C. Video & Technology:
1. Create the weekly welcome video for Sunday services, and on occasion, other videos that promote various ministries or events
2. Manage coverage of ministry event photography, including but not limited to NMW, baptism, worship, ministry events, etc.
3. Oversee the tech team in Sunday morning studio production
4. Oversee online engagement and connections to the First Temple family through church’s online worship services
D. Other duties as determined by direct supervisor, the Lead Pastor, and by the Executive Team.

Level: Professional Ministerial
Reports To: Discipleship & Family Pastor
Supervises: Kids Day Out Director, Paid Childcare Workers
Function: To organize, implement and oversee quality preschool of FBC Temple
Responsibilities:
1. Work to provide quality training and curriculum for all paid childcare workers, preschool Life Group teachers and Preschool Pals volunteers.
2. Organize and supervise childcare for church activities requesting childcare.
3. Supervise the Kids’ Day Out program.
4. Help organize and implement preschool/children’s ministry calendar.
5. Organize and supervise preschool Life Groups.
6. Attend and participate in Family Ministry Team meetings.
7. Assist in the development of policies and procedures for preschool.
8. Be responsible for developing a rotating schedule for all workers, including pre-school leaders, Wednesday and Sunday volunteers and paid workers and volunteers.
11. Communicate responsibilities to each worker before each event.
12. Organize and maintain church resource room in conjunction with Kids’ Day Out Director
13. Acquire needed supplies and resources needed for preschool teaching.
14. Ensure that age-appropriate activities are being administered throughout the classrooms
15. Oversee hiring of childcare paid workers.
16. Handle disciplinary actions, including termination, in conjunction with the Discipleship & Family Pastor.
17. Partner with Finance Ministry Assistant to approve childcare workers timecards.
18. Assist with other related needs as they arise.

Level: Ministry Team, Part-Time
Reports To: Discipleship & Family Pastor
Supervises: College Ministry Intern
Background and Skill Set: Seminary student, social media savvy, engaging, observant
Responsible for: leading the College Ministry at First Temple
1. Invest in and lead the college leadership team of students and the adult volunteers
2. Plan and facilitate weekly College Gatherings (Wednesday evenings in Fall/Spring; Sunday evenings in Summer)
3. Minister to all Bell county college students
4. Represent First Temple at UMHB’s network of campus ministers, the ONE service planning group, and at the ONE service, and UMHB events (The Plug, Move-In Day)
5. Plan teaching schedule for college worship
6. Coach and encourage college preachers
7. Provide small group leadership materials for student leaders.
8. Meet with and encourage college-age adults throughout the church
9. Be present on Sundays to engage with students
10. Lead/hire any college ministry interns

Job Description
Level: General Support 2
Reports To: Preschool Minister
Function: To organize, implement, and oversee quality childcare ministry, which meets during church times and other church activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare the room for teaching the children. Look over lesson and gather materials and
supplies needed for teaching.
2. Greet children and parents as they come to the door.
3. When caring for diaper-aged children, make sure each child has been changed before
parents return. Follow guidelines for changing diapers.
4. Give focused attention to the children in the room. Teach lesson to children.
5. Clean and return the room to the same condition as found. If children are old enough
encourage them to help pick up and put toys away. Follow guidelines for cleaning
room (wipe tables, clean toys, take out trash, sweep floor, etc.).
6. Clock in and out accurately.
General Information:
1. Wage is $10-$12 an hour depending on experience. Hours of work average from 12 to 15 hours a month. Workers hours are flexible. Not all workers are scheduled for every event.
2. Childcare workers are paid every two weeks.
3. All childcare workers hired will be required to have a background check done.
4. Childcare hours are scheduled a month at a time. If a childcare worker has times they cannot work during an upcoming month, they will contact the childcare coordinator with that information.
5. Childcare workers must be flexible and willing to work with differing age groups of preschoolers and children as needed.
6. Childcare workers will be required to attend paid childcare training. Workers are expected to follow training guidelines.
7. Childcare days and hours vary from month to month depending on the church calendar. Some examples of days and hours worked are as follows:
Sunday mornings: 7:45 AM - 12:30 PM
Occasional Sunday evenings: 3- 7 PM
Wednesday evenings: 5:30 - 8 PM
Occasional Saturday evenings: 5 – 9:15 PM
